Celebrating Black History

In commemoration of Black History Month, Stevens Stallions had two programs: one for Prek-1 grades and another for 2nd - 5th grades. "The Jazz & Education Series" founded by Bubbha Thomas, provided the upper grade students with an in-school, high quality program that is structured, educational, inspirational, and fun with lots of audience participation. Students were inspired by an "I CAN" message while singing, dancing, and clapping to the rhythmic beat led by a 4 piece band and a poet.

The Primary grades preformed the song, "If I had a Hammer" and recited facts about famous African Americans.What an EXCITING and EDUCATIONAL time had by all !!!
