Ms. Sandra J. Little

Principal of Valley West since the school opened in 1996. I have 36 years of experience with the Houston Independent School District serving in the following assignments: classroom teacher, speech therapist, educational diagnostician, special education supervisor, assistant principal and principal. I am proud of the job that our teachers and staff do daily to educate every student who attends Valley West. I am also proud of our parents and our community members who support our commitment to provide a positive and challenging learning environment for our students. Valley West is rated by the Texas Education Agency as a State RECOGNIZED school for 2005 - 2006 school year. Our goal is to earn the T.E.A. rating of Exemplary school.

Ms. Kathryn Bailey

I have taught first through sixth grades spanning a 34 year teaching career. My current position is Instructional Coordinator.

I work with teachers to help them with their needs in the classroom as an Instructional Coordinator, Math Lead Teacher, Bilingual/ESL Lead Teacher, and the Test Coordinator.

Ms. Stasia Gillum

I have been the Title One Coordinator for over 4 years, Language Arts Lead Teacher, as well as the schools Discipline Coordinator. I have been in the education field for over 23 years and am a certified Reading Specialist.

School Discipline

School Discipline Plan: Students and parents are expected to become familiar with the provision of the District wide "Code of Student Conduct." The rules and regulations adopted and implemented by Valley West Elementary is based upon the School-Based Discipline Management System. Students are also expected to abide by the policies set forth in the "Code" so that they can truly get the most out of their year in school.
