Accelerated Reader is a reading program at Wainwright Elementary. This program encourages students to read on their grade level and a little beyond. Students take tests on books they have read and earn points for passing the tests. As a student reaches a particular point level they earn a prize from the library. This year the prizes are different colored wristbands. Students who have collected points from previous school years were given wristbands that they have already earned. Below is a list of the AR point levels. Although some may seem high, it is important to remember that students keep their point they've earned from year to year. Many of our 5th graders are well over 100 points and some are closer to 300 points at the start of this year!
