	Students Feast on Pasta from Magical Pot West U. Elementary hosts Strega Nona lunch for second-grade students The whimsy of Strega Nona — an ancient tale of tradition that teaches the value of helping friends and neighbors — came to life at West U. Elementary as second-grade students enjoyed an Italian feast of magical pasta. During the spring semester, pupils have studied this children’s book, written and illustrated by Tomie dePaola, which evolves around a grandmother who helps fellow villagers with their troubles and eventually reveals that love is the secret ingredient to all the potions made in her pasta pot.
