Math: Spatial Reasoning: Ruins of Muharek: Students will read and create two-dimensional representations of three-dimensional cube buildings, understand and recognize line symmetry, construct cube buildings that fit two-dimensional building plans, and make isometric drawings of cube buildings. 6.11.A. Identify and apply mathematics to everyday experiences, to activities in and outside of school, with other disciplines, and with other mathematical topics.
Science: Examine traits that occur because of natural selection.

Monday. May: 05/19 From 9:05- 11:45 A.M. Unit: “How to Spend a Million Dollars”
Explain what are the features of an item to be purchased. Students will learn to select an item by looking at features (color, size, quality, price, rebates, mark-downs, etc) before making a selection. Compare it to:
Activities: Compare and choose a cell phone based on individual needs. Write the features liked and explain your decision.
From 1:45 - 2:55 P.M . 2nd Rotation. Repeat same procedures
Tuesday. 05/20 11:45 A.M. Objective: The students will learn how to calculate “the cost of operation” of an enterprise and how calculate profits.
Activities: Read and solve problems . Use cost of operation knowledge to determine the profit margins of an enterprise.
From 1:45 - 2:55 P.M . 2nd Rotation. Repeat same procedures
Wednesday. 05/21 Unit:“How to Spend a Million Dollars”
Objective: The students will receive a “million dollar inheritance” and will:
Prioritize expenditures.
List these expenditures and budget a determined amount of money for each of them.
How to invest money for the future.
Activities: The student will make a list of expenditures based in “real life and wise money decisions” They will explain their choice and how much money will be allocated for each expenditure. These expenditures must include: real estate, furnitures and house hold appliances, transportation and setting money aside for a college fund.
From 12:45 - 2:55 P.M . 2nd Rotation. Repeat same procedures
30 minutes will be allocated to review math objectives with the students needing to take 2nd Math TAKS Test.
Thursday. 05/22 Unit:“How to Spend a Million Dollars”
Objective: The students will allocate a determined amount of money to purchase a property and use the www.har.com they :
Locate the area of town they want to purchase their house.
They will decide on a pre owned, foreclosure of brand new house.
Dimension of the house according to their family needs
Activities: The student will make a list of expenditures based in “real life” needs of the things they would like to have in a house, decide in the area of town, the conditions of the house and if they rather have a foreclosure, pre owned or brand new hose and which would make a better investment.
From 12:45 - 2:55 P.M . 2nd Rotation. Repeat same procedures
Friday. 05 /23
Unit: “How to Spend a Million Dollars”
Objective: The students will watch the movie “Ritchie Rich” and will:
Determine the Main Idea of the movie.
List main events of the story such as as : How the main character obtain his money?, how he spend it? Did he make wise investments? Did money bring him happiness? etc.
Activities: The student will watch the movie an d will take notes about the way the main character obtains, invest and spends his money.
From 12:45 - 2:55 P.M . 2nd Rotation. Repeat same procedures
