I am very proud to say that this is my 9th year
being part of the wonderful community of Barrick
Elementary. My fifteen years of professional experiences
comes from being a bilingual teacher, a reading
teacher/trainer, an assistant principal, and a principal. I
know that my education has prepared me well for the
challenge of principal. I had a great experience as an HISD
student and graduated from Milby High School with highest
honors.
I received my bachelor’s degree from the University of
Houston and my master’s degree from the University of St.
Thomas. I do believe that HISD is the best school district
and I will work hard to prove it. I follow one simple rule
as a principal: make every decision with the students’ best
interest in mind. I love my job and I love my students. I
have the same expectations for the students as I had for
myself – college graduation!
