Franklin Elementary PROGRAM INVOLVEMENT:

Throughout the year we give parents of participating children timely information about Title I programs including: Title I School Wide curriculum, TAKS and all other assessments, No Child Left Behind campus initiatives, student reports, tutorials and instructional support services. Time is set aside during PIC (Parent Involvement Committee) to invite parents to express concerns, ask questions and to participate in decisions regarding parent involvement activities.

Gulf Coast Community Service Agency/Headstart:

Franklin Elementary in collaboration with GCCSA/Headstart has formed the PIC (Parent Involvement Committee) for the purpose of offering Franklin parents and community a cohesive school wide parental involvement organization.

Parent Involvement Committee:

Meetings and members are formed through a collaboration of GCCSA/Headstart. Guests offer valuable information to the community in a wide range of topics. Some of the GCCSA/Headstart topics this year are Domestic Violence, Texas Children’s Hospital services, and Childhood Obesity.
