Montessori Program Admissions

Applications are currently available in the office and will be filled according to the waiting list and any available open spaces. Applications for the 2008-2009 school year will be accepted beginning November 12th, 2007 and should be postmarked on or before January 11, 2008.  Applications will then be subject to a lottery drawing if the number of applications received exceeds the spaces available. Applications received after these deadlines will be considered if space is still available. The program is open to all students from age 3 through 6th grade.

Montessori education at GOES is a family centered approach to learning and your participation is integral to the success of your child. Attending one Parent Orientation is REQUIRED for parents/guardians of children applying to the Program.  This year's Parent Orientations are February 9, 2008 at 10:00 AM (following the 14th Annual Pancake Breakfast and Silent Auction) and March 6, 2008 at 6:30 PM. 

Please note that any incomplete applications will not be processed.

Application Procedures:

Option 1 (e-mail application):

1. Click on the application link below.

2. Choose open when the menu box appears.

3. Fill in application. For pages requiring you to circle an answer, highlight your answer choice and click on the highlight tool in the upper menu bar.

4. Choose “Save as” from the “File” menu, type in your child’s name as the file name.

5. Then e-mail the file as an attachment to kluna@houstonisd.org

Option 2 (mail, fax, or bring in to school office):

1. Click on the application link below.

4. Print out application, and mail or submit to our office at Garden Oaks Elementary School, Friends of Montessori, 901 Sue Barnett Dr. Houston, TX 77018. You may also fax to the attention of Karen Luna at (713) 696-2932.
