Our library has a large selection of books for research and reading. The Accelerated Readers, AR books, are labeled with the reading level and point value. To see if an AR quiz is available for a book, check out the AR Lists page. Name That Book list is avaiable on the HISD Library page. The list for the 2006 contest is already out if you want to read some this summer.

To see what is available in our library, use Alexandria, our system for cataloging books.When on the page, you might need to click on RESET on the left side of the page.

Visit the HISD Library Services Parent’s Page for links to web sites designed to help parents assist children with conducting research, succeeding in school, and staying safe on the net.

HISD has online resources available to students at all campuses. To access the online resources, you will need to have the login and password for them. If you would like to do some research at home, contact Sherry Batke, the librarian, for the current passwords.
