• The magnet program is designed to further student understanding and interest in the areas of mathematics, science, and technology through a "hands-on" activities enriched curriculum.

• Students are provided opportunities to develop problem solving and critical thinking skills. These skills are further enhanced through computer technology and the use of mathematic manipulatives.

• A key goal of the program is to increase student competency in mathematics so that future career choices may be made in these fields. All students participate in the magnet mathematics.
