Mr. Buck came to Shearn
as Principal in 2005. He started his career with the Houston Independent
School District in 1992. His first eight years he was an Elementary
School Teacher. After that he worked for three years in HISD
Central Administration in the Instructional Technology Department as a
Technology Trainer and Project Administrator. He later became an administrator at Reagan High School
and worked there three years before coming to Shearn Elementary.
Mr.Buck holds a BBA from
Grand Valley State University, a MBA from the University of St. Thomas and a
M.Ed. from University of Houston-Victoria.
Currently he is Past President of HASA (Houston Association of School
Administrators) and is a member of AHSA (Association of Hispanic School Administrators),
TCEA
(Technology Computer Educators Association), ISTE
(International Society of
Technology Education), The Houston A+
Challenge and NCTM (National Council of Teachers of
Mathematics), .
